The Lab on Cineuropa > MIOB Journalism Lab : Woman as Lovers

The participants worked under the guidance of senior journalist Neil Young.

Neil Young (b. Easington UK, 1971), originally from Sunderland, England, has been living and working in Vienna since 2019. He writes about, presents, curates, makes and acts in films. He has worked as a freelance film-critic since 2000, publishing hundreds of articles, features and reviews in The Hollywood Reporter, Screen, Sight & Sound, Senses of Cinema, MUBI Notebook plys many other international outlets. His festival work includes being Head of Selection for the Austrian Competition at Vienna Shorts. He has also mentored critics' workshops at many film-festivals across Europe since 2016.

The European Festival Network Moving Images – Open Borders (MIOB) is inviting students and recent graduates in cinema, journalism, and related fields to apply for an exclusive opportunity in cinema journalism training. The MIOB Lab is dedicated to cultivate the next generation of cultural journalists, offering free, hands-on training at European film festivals.
