MIOB In Shorts Award: Announcement of the 2026 Selection

The MIOB in Shorts Award is part of the first action programme of MIOB (Moving Images – Open Borders), active since 2020. It celebrates outstanding European short films and stands out for its unique approach: the winner is chosen by the audience.

Each MIOB festival member nominates two European short films, which are then made available online for free, allowing audiences across Europe to watch and vote for their favorite.

The twelve short films will be available for free from 1 September to 15 October 2026 on the This is Short platform.
