The Trieste Film Festival is the widest Italian festival dedicated expressly to Central and Eastern European cinema. The well-established international prestige of the Festival is due primarily to an openness and visionary view to ever more extensive and unusual areas of interest, but also timely attention to the quality of events which then in many cases are destined to dominate the international scene.
