MIOB In Shorts Award: Launch of the 2026 Edition

The MIOB in Shorts Award celebrates outstanding European short films and stands out for its unique approach: the winner is chosen by the audience. The 2026 edition is officially launched!

Each MIOB festival member nominates two European short films, which are then made available online, allowing audiences across Europe to watch and vote for their favorite.

The twelve short films are available from 1 September to 15 October 2026 on the This is Short, the European streaming platform.

The films will also be screened at FilmFestival Cottbus (Germany) in November, with the winner announced at the festival's closing ceremony.
