Mental Health Study for Film Festival Workers
As part of its ongoing projects, MIOB is conducting a study on the mental health of people working in the film festival sector. We recognize how crucial it is to understand our staff and to prevent factors that may contribute to mental health issues.
While working in film festivals is often perceived as glamorous, fun, and exciting, the reality can be very different. Some thrive under pressure and adrenaline; others do not—or need to set clear boundaries.
Dr. Jean-Victor Blanc, psychiatrist at Saint-Antoine Hospital in Paris, lecturer at La Sorbonne, and founder of the Pop&Psy festival — a multidisciplinary event exploring psychology — has initiated this study in collaboration with film festival professionals from the MIOB. He will lead the analysis and draw conclusions from the findings.
We invite anyone currently working or who has previously worked in the film festival industry to participate. To ensure meaningful results, we need a diverse pool of participants across age groups, experiences, genders, and countries. Please feel free to share this link with your colleagues!
