MIOB Code of Conduct
The MIOB Code of Conduct is set up to uphold and improve a respectful and sustainable festival and working environment, both within the context of collaboration within the festival network and the respective festival structures.
"As a cultural event organizer, the goal is to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive festival environment where the audience, guests, and staff feel comfortable. A good starting point for this is to develop and publish a Code of Conduct.
A Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines that apply to festival staff, as well as to festivalgoers, partners, sponsors, and festival guests. It contains guidelines on how staff and festivalgoers should conduct themselves in a legally compliant, ethical, and socially responsible manner.
A Code of Conduct is intended to prevent discrimination and harassment, and to promote respectful interaction and environmentally friendly behavior. All members of the organization as as well as the festival audience and partners should act accordingly — even if they come from different cultures or backgrounds and hold different personal values.
A binding Code of Conduct provides employees, festival partners, and the audience with clarity in difficult situations. How should I behave? What am I allowed to do and what am I not? What behavior from others must I tolerate and what must I not? The guidelines help people make the right decisions when faced with these questions."
