Calls for Submissions Now Open
Several open calls are now available across festivals from our network. Discover the opportunities and submit your projects!
► FilmFestival Cottbus (November 3 to November 8, 2026)
Submissions for the 36th FFC are now open! Filmmakers from Eastern, East-Central, and Southeastern Europe can submit their feature and short films from April 1 to July 15, 2026.
Films can be submitted via FilmFreeway.
► European Film Festival Scanorama (November 5 to November 22, 2026)
European Film Festival Scanorama is inviting European filmmakers to submit their shorts for the International Short Film Competition – Glimpses of Europe.
Films can be submitted via FilmFreeway.
► Trieste Film Festival (15th till 23th January, 2027)
"We are very happy to announce that the 38th TRIESTE FILM FESTIVAL, the leading Italian festival focused exclusively on Central Eastern European cinema, is now open for submissions!
We are looking for feature films and documentaries (only Italian premieres), short films (both fiction and animation) from Central and Eastern European countries. The submission deadline is September 30th, 2026."
► LAB OF CULTURAL, CREATIVE AND FESTIVAL JOURNALISM (July, 2026)
The MIOB Lab is dedicated to cultivate the next generation of cultural journalists, offering free, hands-on training at European film festivals. We are looking for young journalists for this edition at European Film Festival Palić (Serbia).
Application Deadline: 30th May 2026.
