In close proximity to her protagonist, Slava Doytcheva tells of the complex emotions that adult children have to cope with when they are not accepted by their parents. Of the roller-coaster of emotions between hope for recognition and anger, disappointment and self-hatred. Of the desire to just run away; but where to?
